Two years independent now and the client list has stopped caring where I sit, which was the entire point, except I have not actually done anything with that freedom. Rent here still eats the first week of every month and I keep telling myself I will look at it properly after the next project. Someone from a course I took moved to a smaller town abroad, kept the same rates, and says the difference went straight into buying instead of renting. For those of you who have done it: how long before the move stopped being a disruption to the work, and did you rent at first or commit to buying once you knew you were staying?
